“Happy Married Life” wished everyone on their wedding day. They had promised to be together forever. For a couple of years, their happiness was at its peak. One day, he was asked to reach early at work. As a loving wife, she allowed him to leave and waited eagerly for his return. The next day, he did return, but not on his own. Some men brought him at his home, in a coffin. She could not believe he had died, not even by looking at his corpse. The men who brought him kept repeating, “He got martyred while protecting the motherland.” Yet she found it difficult to imagine his permanent absence. He promised to be with her forever but the word “Forever” got a new definition that day when they had to dig two graves that day.
